Terminal mounts are used to connect wires to a PCB. The number of terminals can vary.
With a screwdriver, the wire is clamped under a screw (and in deluxe versions an extra spring).

Using a crimp-on terminal (wire end sleeve), the stranded or multi-core wire is correctly terminated and allows for multiple screw-unscrew actions. Tinning the a stranded or multi-core wire is another solution. Solid core wire can be used without tinning or crimp-on terminals.
